ROOFING
TAB REPAIR
This is intended to give the potential
customer an idea of how much
it will cost to have the work done.
Shingles are
FREE*
and the Labor is based on the following formula for a "walkable
roof"*:
tab = 1/3 of a shingle
$ 35.00
+
$ .00 tab/s @ $1.00
each (count the little squares/tabs on your roof
that are
flipped up or missing and fill in the first blank)
= $
your cost
[We would give volume discount
for excessive shingle loss]
Shingles will be included
FREE*
in the basic colors of regular style shingles
in stock
at Lowe's.
Colors may include, Slate Grey, Black Onyx, Desert Tan.
If you have those other 'ugly style'
shingles (a.k.a. Contractor/Construction/Dimensional)
please have them available as we will not have them
in stock. They may be ordered at Lowe's
The chart above is the Basic labor cost formula
that we have been using to give price quotes over the phone.
This will give you a ballpark idea
and may help you get an even better deal
from another roofing company.
"Well
RentaSpouse.com
said they could do it for $XX.00,
can you beat their price?"
We feel this is a fair formula, as there are some
companies that will charge you for an estimate or charge you
$200.00 or more just to put the ladder up against the house and
then the hourly clock starts ticking. We like to give a
FLAT RATE that way you know up
front what to expect.
If you can get a better deal, by all means
GO FOR IT. And if this Website
helped you get that deal, then consider that our gift to
Goldsboro & Wayne County for helping us to become a leader in
the business community.
After all, that's the bottom line..... to
$AVE MONEY.
We are firm believers in the saying that "Competition
Builds Business"

Local & Long Distance Moving
Most Local
Moving will be $125.00 per load (and can be done with a regular
trailer)
Most moves in and out of places like
The
Sterling House, The Pines and
Kirkwood Retirement Village
are $125.00.
HINTS:
You can save time & money by packing your items yourself.
Label all boxes by room (kitchen, bath, bedroom #1 etc.) this
will make it easier to have the box placed in that room.
No need to buy cardboard clothes boxes that are used just one
time.
You can save by placing clothes out of the closet on a quilt on
the bed, then wrap the quilt up.
It can be moved to the new location and laid on the bed and the
clothes will go back in the closet in alphabetical order!
Drawers in dressers are great boxes, no need to empty and pack
the contents, just add any item on top of that dresser that will
fit in the drawers and we can take the whole unit. Then undo
this process when you get to your new place and everything is
there!
Long
Distance moves may require a (FREE) on site estimate.

Mobile Home Underpinning
(Skirting)
Single wide
$ 750.00
Double wide
$ 875.00
This includes
Labor,
Materials (the basic kit for 14x70 or 30x70),
Clean up and
Landfill Fees.
There are some
variables, such as a larger size Mobile Home, additional
height (more than the average 36" from the ground), etc.
then there will be a minor adjustment for materials (an
additional panel etc.) Labor will stay the same.
A Word to the Wise
Call the person or company of
your choice, consult friends,
neighbors etc, and ask them who they would call.
(or have used in the past and are satisfied with)
Your local Chamber of Commerce can
supply you with a list of reputable companies, known to them for
years.
Check references. (Don’t just ask for
identification, which can be fake.)
Check out an unknown person offering a
deal on home repairs. Get their vehicles license plate number
.
DO NOT TRUST
ANYONE that comes to your door looking work.
Reputable companies don't go around
door-to-door begging for work. They place ads, have business
cards and
professional fliers to let you know that they are there.
Then it is up to you to call them.
And call more than one, get estimates and ask if the
estimates are free.
NEVER give a worker a deposit unless you
are sure of their background.
If a contractor asks for all the
money up front, the RED FLAG
should go up!
The money should be for materials only,
then, it SHOULD NOT be made in cash. Most legit companies can
afford to supply the
materials and even send you a bill in the mail.
They are not hard up demanding money immediately once the job is done.
The price you pay for the completed
job should be the same price quoted before the job
started.
It should not be MORE than what was agreed on without
justifiable explanation.
If you have ANY reservations,
JUST SAY NO, if they insist, tell them to leave, if not call 911!
The best thing to do is to have the
worker follow you to Lowe's etc. let him fill the shopping list
and then you
pay for it. That way no money has exchanged hands and you
know that you are paying the fair price for the
material and there is no mark-up.
Please Note
If response
is overwhelming, we will try to schedule by area.
Please be patient and bear with us.
*(What is walkable? If you were to throw a
ball up on the roof, unless it was a flat roof, it would fall off.
But if you threw a book on the roof, if it stays there, then it is
considered walkable.) |
